Overview — Russian Ancestry in the United States
Russian Americans are people in the United States who have full or partial Russian ancestry. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, 2.54 million people (0.77% of the U.S. population) identified as being fully or partly of Russian descent, making Russian Americans one of the largest Eastern European and East Slavic ancestry groups in the country.
Russian communities are also significant across the Americas, including Canada (622,445 people), Brazil (1.8 million), and Argentina (350,000).

Russian Brazilians are Brazilians who have full or partial Russian ancestry. Russian Brazilians account for about 1.81% of the total population of Brazil. According to the Brazilian Census, there were 1.8 million people of Russian descent in Brazil.
The Brazilian states with more descendants include Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás, and Paraná, in addition to a presence in Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, and Pernambuco.
