Romanian Americans are Americans who have full or partial Romanian ancestry. People of Romanian ancestry form an important group in several countries in North and South America. As per the rough estimates, Romanian ancestry is estimated at 1.5 million in North America. It forms an important minority Group in the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.
In the United States census of 2020, 0.5 million people were identified as being fully or partly of Romanian ancestry. In addition, 167,751 people are Romanian-born citizens in the US.
