Croatia, officially the Republic of Croatia is a country at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe on the Adriatic Sea. On 25 June 1991, Croatia declared independence from former Yugoslavia. According to the mid-2022 population estimate, the Republic of Croatia had 3,855,641 inhabitants, out of which there were 1,860,511 men and 1,995,130 women. The estimated population of Croatia in 2024 is 4 million.
