Belgian Ancestry in United States

Belgian Americans are Americans who have full or partial Belgian ancestry. People of Belgian ancestry form a significant group in several countries in North America and South America. As per estimates, there is one million Belgian diasporas around the world. In the 2020 United States census, 348,000 people self-identified as being fully or partly of Belgian ancestry.

Population-wise, Wisconsin (47,674) has the largest number of people with Belgian Ancestry, followed by Michigan (45,540), Illinois (25,164), California (24,568), and Florida (16,155).

Percentage-wise top US states with Belgian Ancestry are Wisconsin (0.82%), Michigan (0.46%),  and Minnesota (0.27%).
