Pakistani Americans are those having origins in any of the original peoples of Pakistan and Pakistani Ancestry.  Approximately 629,946 people (0.19% of all respondents) identified as Pakistani in the 2020 US Census. It’s the seventh-largest group among Asians in the United States. The Greater New York City Combined Area, consisting of New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pike County, Pennsylvania, comprises by far the largest Pakistani-American population of any metropolitan area in the United States. 

As per the United States Census Bureau 2020, the Pakistani alone population is 555,917 (0.17%), and the Pakistani alone or in any combination population is 629,946 (0.19%). The Estimated population of Pakistani Americans in the United States as of 2024 is 0.7 million.
