Hmong Americans are those having origins in any of the original Homg peoples of Laos and the Hmong Ancestry. Approximately 368,609 people (0.11% of all respondents) identified as Hmong in the 2020 US Census. It’s the Ninth-largest group among Asians in the United States. California has the largest Hmong-American population in North America and Minneapolis metro area holds the densest Hmong-American population in the 48 contiguous states.
