Polish Canadians: Population, Immigration Trends & Demographics

Polish Canadians are Canadians who have full or partial Polish ancestry. People of Polish descent constitute a significant demographic in various North and South American countries. In Canada, they represent the second-largest Eastern European group after Ukrainian Canadians.

Polish Canadians account for about 2.71%  of the total population of Canada. According to the Canadian Census 2021, there were 982,815 people of Polish descent in Canada. Ontario is the province with the highest percentage of Polish population in Canada.

Ontario, with 461,090 people of Polish ancestry, has the largest population of Polish -Canadians in Canada followed by Alberta (169,925) and  British Columbia (134,635). 

Percentage-wise Manitoba (6%) has the highest percentage of Polish followed by Saskatchewan (5%) and Alberta (4%).
