Argentina Population by Provinces
Argentina has twenty-three federated states called provinces and one autonomous city (ciudad autónoma) of Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the republic as decided by the Argentine Congress. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions and exist under a federal system.
Province Population wise
Buenos Aires is the largest and most populous Argentine province. It does not include the population of the city of Buenos Aires, the capital of the country, In spite of bearing the same name, the province does not include Buenos Aires proper, though it does include all other parts of the Greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
Next comes the Córdoba with 4 million inhabitants, and the fifth by size, at about 165,321 km2 (63,831 sq mi). Almost 41% of its inhabitants reside in the capital city, Córdoba, and its surroundings, making it Argentina’s second most populous metro area. In third place comes the province of Santa Fe with a population of 3.5 million

Argentina's Provinces by Area
Buenos Aires is the largest and most populous Argentine province. Next comes the provinces of Santa Cruz, Chubut, and Rio Negro. In terms of the Density City of Buenos Area has the highest density followed by the province of Tucumán.
