Thai Americans are those having origins in any of the original peoples of Thailand and the Thai Ancestry.  Approximately 319,617 people (0.10% of all respondents) identified as Thai in the 2020 US Census. It’s the tenth-largest group among Asians in the United States. California has the largest Thai American population in North America and the city of Los Angeles holds the densest Thai American population in the 48 contiguous states.
