Russian Ancestry in United States
Russian Americans are Americans who have full or partial Russian ancestry. People of Russian ancestry form an important group in several countries in North and South America. In the United States census of 2020, 2.5 million people identified as being fully or partly of Russian ancestry. It also forms an important minority Group in Canada (622,445), Brazil (1.8 million), and Argentina (350,000).
Russian Americans comprise the largest Eastern European and East Slavic population in the U.S., the second-largest Slavic population generally, the nineteenth-largest ancestry group overall, and the eleventh-largest from Europe. According to the United States Census 2020, there were 2,538,601 (0.77% of the U.S. population) people of Russian descent in the U.S.

Top US State by Russian Population
Population wise California (342,972) has the largest number of people with Russian Ancestry followed by New York (338,597), Florida (184,552), Pennsylvania (163,673), and New Jersey (149,999).
Percentage-wise top US states with Russian Ancestry are North Dakota (2.30%), New York (1.74%), New Jersey (1.69%), Connecticut (1.38%), and Massachusetts (1.37%).
