The largest faith in Quebec is Christianity and more than three-fifths of the Quebec population (64.8%) reported being affiliated with a Christian religion. In the past few decades with a rising Unaffiliated population, Christianity adherents saw a drop, of 16.95% from the 2011 Census.
With immigration, there were growing proportions of the population who reported religious affiliations other than Christianity. These religions included Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, and Buddhist.

Christianity is the largest religion in Quebec followed by 5,385,240 or 64.8% of the State population. Next comes the unaffiliated population at 2,267,720 or 27.3% of the population. The unaffiliated population rose by 15.18% from the 2011 Census and is now a quarter of Quebec’s population.
With immigration patterns, there were growing proportions of the population who reported religious affiliations other than Christianity. These religions included Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, and Buddhist. In 2021, about 7.6% of Quebec’s population, reported affiliation with one of these religions.
In 2021, people who identified themselves as Muslim made up 5.1% of the population, Jewish 1%., Buddhist 0.6%, Hindu 0.6%, and Sikh 0.3%. Other smaller faiths and Indigenous religions make up 0.4% of the population.

Roman Catholics were the largest Christian religious group in 2021. About 4,472,555 or 53.8% of people identified themselves as Roman Catholic. Its followed by the various branches of Protestantism and collectively followed by 165,500 adherents or 2% of the population.
